We are kicking off a Suitecases For The Classroom program, in which we will travel to local schools with our suitcases full of curriculum-oriented artifacts to teach the students about these historical objects. We need your help with this endeavor.

The Shelby County Historical Society is not a research facility. We have no paid staff. If you are interested in genealogy research, please contact the Shelby County Public Library at 8th and Washington Streets or for original records such as marriages, wills, land deeds, divorces, licenses etc. please go to the Courthouse Annex Building at 5th and Washington Streets.
