Membership in the Shelby County Historical Society is open to all who are interested in the study and preservation of the history of Shelby County, its communities and families. Members receive newsletters keeping them informed of upcoming meetings, local projects and topics of local, regional, and state interest.
Annual Dues are $25.00 per year payable in December to
SCHS P.O. Box 444, Shelbyville, Kentucky 40066.
The Society holds several membership meetings each year at which time local,regional, and state speakers address historical topics which are of interest to members and their guests. We also host an annual membership picnic in the Fall and our year end membership dinner.

Shelby County Historical Society - Strategic Plan!
Over the past few months the Board of Directors and many from our membership have provided input and ideas to create a 3-5 year strategic plan for the Shelby County Historical Society. The desired outcome of this effort was to provide our organization with goals and strategies to better accomplish our mission and improve our footprint in the community.
The Shelby County Historical Society is a 501c-3 organization. Donations to the Historical Society may be tax deductible.
